Police seeking man in shooting death of girlfriend at LA apartment

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police are seeking the public's help finding a man who allegedly shot his live-in girlfriend to death during an argument on Virgil Avenue on April 12.

Police say the suspect, Philip Policarpio, got involved in an argument with his girlfriend, Lauren Olguin, at an apartment in the 500 block of N. Virgil Avenue around 6 a.m.

He allegedly punched her as he held a gun in his other hand, shot her, then fled the building, police said.

Paramedics were unable to save Olguin, 32, and she was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators described Policarpio as Filipino, standing around 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds and sometimes wearing glasses.

He has a tattoo on his chest that reads "Only God Can Judge Me."

He drives a red four-door BMW 325i, with license plate 7NBY245.

Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
