Monterey Park named 1 of best places to live in America

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- The city of Monterey Park has a reason to brag because it's been named one of the best places to live in America.

Money Magazine released its top 100 spots that offer a healthy economy, affordable housing and a high quality of life.

Fishers, Indiana, topped the list, followed by Allen, Texas.

Monterey Park ranked high at 3rd place. The magazine described it as a small city that offers plenty of recreational activities, especially for families.

Santa Monica took the 18th spot and Los Alamitos made the cut as No. 60.
