BEND, Ore. (KABC) -- Michael Wolber and April Hartley had to evacuate from their own wedding as a wildfire burned in Bend, Oregon on Saturday - but not before getting a few pictures!
According to photographer Josh Newton, everything was set up for a 4 p.m. ceremony.
However, just as the bride was about to walk down the aisle, a fire truck came in with sirens blaring.
That's when firefighters told everyone they had to evacuate - but, they allowed them to have the ceremony first. The reception was then moved to a park out of harm's way.
"I've never seen anything like what happened next. Everyone moved the entire wedding to a park in Bend, all with smiles and good attitudes," Newton said.
While everyone was setting up, Newton and the couple snuck away to take some wedding photos with the wildfire as a backdrop.
"We snuck away and got some of the most incredible wedding photos I've ever taken," Newton said.
"They really had the most incredible attitude and it was an honor to work with them and really see what mattered."
