LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The Los Angeles Fire Department said goodbye to one of its own on Friday. A funeral was held for firefighter Kelly Wong, who died after falling from an aerial ladder during a training exercise.
The procession made its way through downtown at 8 a.m. to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, where the funeral service started at 9 a.m.

Wong, 29, died two days after falling from an aerial ladder while training on June 3 in downtown Los Angeles.
He leaves behind a wife and his infant son.
Mayor Eric Garcetti and LAFD Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas are among those who spoke at the funeral service.

The following roads were closed due to the procession:
- Temple Street between Grand Avenue and Los Angeles Street
- Hill Street between 1st and Ord streets
- Main Street between 1st and Aliso streets
- 1st Street between Main and Spring streets (from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.)
- Grand Avenue between 1st Street and Hollywood Freeway on-ramp
