Director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy revealed the second teaser trailer to the seventh film in the series, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, to thousands of die hard fans at the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, Calif. And it looks awesome.

The trailer doesn't add much to what we know about the plot of the new film, but we do get to see more of the astonishing imagery we can look forward to in the new sequel.

The trailer opens on a Star Destroyer crashed and buried into the sand dunes as enigmatic dialogue spoken by Luke Skywalker is heard.

"The force is strong in my family," says Skywalker as we see the burned and charred helmet of Darth Vader. "My father has it. I have it. My sister has it. You have that power, too."

Throughout the trailer, we are greeted to new images showcasing action and dramatic moments, but the most interesting parts are those that seem completely foreign to the previous films:

-A new, masked Sith Lord?

-Stormtroopers surrounding a new, red flag?

-Tie-Fighters attacking Stormtroopers?

-A new, shiny metal Stormtrooper sporting a cape?

But the filmmakers bring it all back when we finally see our first image of an original trilogy character -- Han Solo, smiling next to an ever-youthful-looking Chewbacca at the very end.

"Chewie, we're home," says Solo. Chewbacca responds with an appropriate Wookiee growl.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters this December.
