LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A multiple-car crash temporarily shut down several lanes of State Route 99 near Bakersfield Monday afternoon.

The 20-car crash happened shortly after noon just a few miles south of State Route 223 as winds from a storm blew up dust, creating low visibility.

Two of the three lanes on the highway were closed and traffic was backed up for about three miles.

No one was seriously injured in the crash, and five people suffered minor injuries.
