Barnsdall Fridays Wine Nights continues through September 11, inviting guests to enjoy wine, art, and sunset views every Friday from 5:30-9 p.m. on the West Lawn of Hollyhock House, LA's only UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This critical fundraiser provides support for the arts programming and preservation at Barnsdall Art Park. One hundred percent of the proceeds goes to directly support, arts education programs, gallery and theater upgrades, along with the historic preservation of Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock House. This year's programming is especially important due ot proposed budget cuts to the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. These cuts could impact public access to cultural spaces across Los Angeles.
Community support through events like the Barnsdall Fridays Wine Nights helps to sustain and protect public arts resources.
Admission is $55 and includes four wine pours from Silverlake Wine, with local food vendors, DJs, and cultural programming; proceeds benefit Barnsdall Art Park.
New highlights for the rest of season include Cafe Maghreb's Moroccan-inspired pop-up, globally inspired ice cream from Servet and the Summer Night Art Fair where guests can support art students and purchase one-of-a-kind handcrafted ceramics, jewelry, paintings and more from the Barnsdall Arts Center and Junior Arts Center community!
While at the Park, attendees can also enjoy artist-led workshops by Heavy Manners Library, a new Susan Silton exhibition at Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, opening September 3, and $20 raffles on August 21 for a chance to win two VIP tickets to Just Like Heaven Fest.
