Watch this stunning time-lapse of Australia's starry night sky

This stunning footage of Coonabarabran, Australia's night sky shows how the sky moves differently in the Southern Hemisphere. But it's still just as majestic as our night sky up north.

Alan Dyer captured footage over a of the sky over a four-night period, showing four different views that are moving in opposite directions from what we typically see up north.

"Stars still rise in the east and set in the west, but they rise moving at an angle to the left and set at an angle to the right," according to the video's YouTube description. "Looking north to the seasonal constellations, stars move from right to left, as the southern sun does in the day. Looking to the south, to the south celestial pole and circumpolar stars, the sky turns clockwise around a rather blank area of sky. There is no prominent 'south star.'"
