Sunshine, mild temps on tap in SoCal on Christmas
Christmas in Southern California should be mild and dry after some overnight rain moves out of the region.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Christmas in Southern California should be mild and dry after some overnight rain moves out of the region.



Sunshine is expected in the afternoon and temperatures will be mostly in the 50s and 60s on Wednesday. On the coast, a high surf advisory runs through the afternoon.



Los Angeles and Orange counties on Wednesday will reach a high of 64 degrees, dropping to 46 at night.



The valleys and Inland Empire on Wednesday will see a high of 64 and sunny conditions. Temperatures will drop to 44 degrees at night.



Beaches will see a high of 61 degrees and a low of 49. Those planning to visit the beach should be careful due to a high surf advisory bringing big waves.



Mountains on Wednesday will reach a high of 47 degrees. Temperatures are expected to drop to a chilly 22 degrees overnight.



Deserts will see a high of 58 and a low of 33. Temperatures will gradually increase heading into the weekend when it could warm up to around 70 degrees.
