Late season storm to bring light rain, cold temps, wind to Southern California this weekend

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Southern California will be a bit cooler Saturday with temperatures in the 60s and 70s, but there's a chance of showers on Sunday.

Light rain will start moving into Santa Barbara County Saturday night, and parts of Ventura and Los Angeles counties may also see spotty showers overnight into Sunday. By early Sunday morning, the showers will move into the Inland Empire, then down to San Diego County, and eventually to the Low Desert.

By around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, most of the rain is expected to have cleared out of our area, making way for a mostly clear day.

SoCal forecast breakdown for Saturday

Los Angeles and Orange counties on Saturday will be cloudy and cool with a high around 68. On Sunday, there will be some passing showers early in the morning followed by clearing skies and gusty winds.

The valleys and the Inland Empire some morning clouds Saturday, making way for a sunny day with temps reaching a high of 67. Showers are expected on Sunday.

Beaches on Saturday will see some clouds and sun in the afternoon with a high of 64.

Temperatures in the mountains are staying in the 60s for Saturday. There's a 20% chance of morning showers on Sunday.

The deserts will be partly sunny and cooler, reaching a high of 72.
