SAN JACINTO, Calif. (KABC) -- During California's drastic drought, utilities are encouraging customers to conserve water as much as possible. The chairman of the board for the Metropolitan Water District has decided to practice what his company preaches.
Chairman Randy Record has made several changes to his San Jacinto property in the name of water conservation, including swapping out water-guzzling grass with native, drought tolerant plants and installing special equipment to irrigate his property dependent on weather conditions.
