LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Hello 2025! Southern California will be nice and sunny on Thursday as we head into the first weekend of the New Year.
Thursday will be the warmest day of the week in Los Angeles and Orange counties, reaching a high of 77 degrees and dropping to 48 at night.
On Friday, however, slightly cooler temperatures return and there could be some drizzle at night.
The valleys and Inland Empire will also be warmer on Thursday with a high of 80. A cooldown is expected on Friday with some nighttime drizzle as well.
Beaches on Thursday will see some clouds in the morning and a mostly sunny afternoon, reaching a high of 66 degrees and a low of 48.
Mountains will be mostly sunny, reaching a high of 61 degrees. Similar conditions are expected Friday but it'll get colder for the weekend.
Deserts will see a high of 65 and a low of 27.
