Missing UC Berkeley student found safe in Oceanside, family says

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Young Douglas, a University of California, Berkeley student who was reported missing, has been found safe in Oceanside, his family said Tuesday.

No other details were immediately released, but they said Douglas will soon be reunited with his family.

The 20-year-old was last seen asking for directions to the train station on May 12 in Santa Ana. Police said they believed Douglas was headed to San Diego. His family heard from him three days earlier at about 11 p.m.

Family members had said it was unusual for Douglas not to keep in touch with them.
