While she gives aid to kids who need it, Amanda sees how that aid inspires others.

"I want to try to get other kids involved, and be an inspiration to other younger kids," said Lew. "That's why I got the elementary kids involved, so they can realize that, 'Oh, there's other kids out here that need help and that I can help the community too," said Amanda.

Amanda wants to help so many people. To help her find other kids in need, she turned to the Orange County Community Foundation.

"Amanda is this beautiful young woman and very petite, yet she is a powerhouse in terms of her determination of spirit and in her mind what she knows she's going to accomplish," said Shelley Hoss, president of the Orange County Community Foundation.

Through all the work she does, Amanda is driven by one thought.

"It's a good feeling just to be able to see the smiles of on the kids' faces, and that you really made a difference in their life," said Amanda. "Whether it's just the smallest deed, the smallest thing, it really made a huge difference to this one child."

There to help kids deal with their challenges, she is our Cool Kid, Amanda Lew.
