Bad grades? Faulty memory could be to blame

If your child just can't seem to get good grades no matter how hard they work, you may be able to blame it on a faulty working memory.British researchers say working memory is like the brain's temporary storage bin that can only hold a few things at a time.

When cluttered with unimportant information, children are less likely to retain what matters.

Researchers say the first step is recognizing the problem and that children can greatly improve with memory training exercises.
