Report: L.A. home sales up, prices down

LOS ANGELES The new numbers show home sales are up, while home prices are down. Home sales jumped 61.2 percent in the L.A. area in Nov. compared to last year. Median home prices fell 31.3 percent over the same period. The median price of a home in L.A. is now just over $359,000.

The study was conducted by the L.A.-based California Association of Realtors.
