Doctor's visit bad for blood pressure?

Your next doctor's visit could increase your chances of having high blood pressure.White Coat Hypertension occurs when a stressful situation causes the nervous system to raise a person's blood pressure.

If a doctor suspects White Coat Hypertension, a patient may be asked to take a reading at home or at a drug store.

Doctors say high blood pressure could lead to a heart attack, stroke or kidney failure if left untreated.
