April 5, 2009 12:00:00 AM PDT
Police in Maywood are hoping surveillance video will lead to an arrest after a business owner was robbed at gunpoint. The robbery happened in broad daylight on Friday at around 10:30 a.m. at Mariscos Bahia, a seafood distribution warehouse on Atlantic Boulevard.

Owner, Hector Canino, says he was making a routine run to the bank with a bag full of cash when he was ambushed by three men. One man held-up Canino, while another took the money from his truck and a third was on lookout.

Canino says it all happened in a matter of seconds.

"I had a gun to my throat," said Canino. "The next thing I know another guy came around the corner, broke the glass and got the money bag."

Canino said he tried to chase the men, but they started shooting at him and jumped into a waiting car.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

Police are now looking for the three men along with the get-away driver. The car is described as a dark blue Nissan Maxima with paper dealer plates.
