Magnitude-2.9 quake rattles Redlands area

REDLANDS, Calif. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck at 10:41 a.m. Tuesday about four miles south-southwest of Redlands.

It was followed by several aftershocks, including a magnitude 2.6.

No damage or injuries have been reported.

One Eyewitness News viewer from Moreno Valley called to say the shaking woke him from a deep sleep.

A magnitude-4.1 quake struck in the same area on Saturday. It was followed by a series of minor aftershocks.
