4-ft-wide pothole shuts 101 in downtown L.A.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES The pothole was located just north of East First Street, and it was first reported just before midnight Saturday night.

The closure caused a traffic mess Sunday. Crews fixed the pot hole by successfully filling it up with concrete. The 101 was schedule to reopen around 6 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities say the pothole is 4-feet wide and about half-a-foot deep. It caused as many as 25 vehicles to pop their tires, but there are no reports of injuries.
