SUV tumbles 100 feet in Pacoima hit-and-run

PACOIMA, Calif. Authorities responded to the scene of the accident near Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Paxton Street at about 11 p.m.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved in the collision, an older model Nissan pickup, stopped to help the victims, but fled from the scene before police arrived.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to cut the women out of their car. They were rushed to a nearby hospital.

One of the victims is listed in critical condition.
