L.A. official Miguel Santana charged with DUI

The D.A.'s office charged L.A. city official Miguel Santana Monday with driving under the influence in connection with his March arrest.

L.A. Administrative Officer Miguel Santana was charged by the DA's office Monday with driving under the influence in connection with his March 26 arrest.

Santa, 40, was arrested in Covina by CHP after being pulled over while he was driving home from a charity dinner. He was freed on $5,000 bond.

Santana is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment May 25 in West Covina.

According to records, Santana was driving with a blood alcohol level of .15 percent. The legal limit is .08 percent.
