Erin Andrews calls for stricter stalking laws

WASHINGTON Tuesday morning, she joined lawmakers at a Washington, D. C. news conference.

/*Andrews*/ was the victim of /*stalking*/ when a man videotaped her nude through a hotel room peephole.

Andrews says stalking laws have not kept up with technology. She is supporting a new bill to toughen anti-stalking laws.

"This legislation is not the end all be all today, but it is the beginning and that is the biggest reason I wanted to be here today. We've got to make sure that people who even think about this crime and violate other people, they are held accountable. I am going to continue to speak to get stiffer and harsher penalties," she said.

Andrews says she's received letters from many women who have been stalked, asking her to bring the issue into the spotlight.
