Gunfire leaves 5 kids wounded at Sylmar party

SYLMAR, Calif. Two of the children were sisters, the youngest hurt was an 11-year-old girl, according to /*Los Angeles Police Department*/ investigators. One adult male was also left injured

None of the injuries are life threatening, officials said.

Police said a party was being held on the 14800 block of Polk Street where several people were in front of the home as well as in the backyard when gunfire erupted about 9:30 p.m.

Authorities said they believe someone drove by in a vehicle and fired a 20-gauge shotgun.

Police did not have a description of the vehicle or suspect. No arrests have been made.
