LOS ANGELES Earlier this month, /*Chris Brown*/ attended the Hollywood premiere for his new movie, "Takers."

The ensemble thriller was shot in the fall of 2008, and was originally titled "Bone Deep." Brown also holds the title of executive producer on the movie.

"I didn't know what it meant at first, honestly, I was totally baffled," said Brown. "Then they explained and told me there was going to be other guys helping me out. I was honored that they even wanted me because I was 19."

Brown has kept a fairly low profile since his felony conviction.

He has played concerts, supporting his latest album "Graffiti." He also sang for the invited crowd at the premiere's after party.

And while promoting "Takers," he told us he sees this as a time he can re-boot his career.

"I just wanna pursue the dream I've always had which is to be the best entertainer I could. My music is something that I am very passionate about. I think that acting is something that comes along with it."

Actor Michael Ealy plays Brown's big brother in the movie.

< At the "Takers" premiere he told me he hopes Brown can stay on the right path.

"He's a good kid," said Ealy. "He made a mistake, but he's a good kid."

Brown is working on his fourth studio album which is set for release in 2011.
