BLACK ROCK DESERT, Nev. --
More than 50,000 people gathered in the desert in northern Nevada for the annual Burning Man festival.The week-long art, music and performance festival in the Black Rock Desert ended with the burning of a 40-foot structure of a man on Saturday night.
It is a symbol and namesake of the festival.
Officials said attendance was up about 25 percent from last year.
There were no major problems except just some alcohol-related incidents, dehydration and people needing medical attention for eye irritation from the desert dust.
