2 more caught posing as San Bruno victims

SAN BRUNO, Calif. According to The San Mateo Daily Journal , the suspects were identified as 25-year-old Deonte Bennett of San Leandro and 25-year-old Niesha Taylor of Fairfield. They were both out on bail Friday but were charged with several felonies including commercial burglary and identity theft.

Investigators said Bennet and Taylor used San Bruno addresses that were false to try to get aid, gift cards and free food.

Two others, 44-year-old Sonya Smith and 42-year-old Lisa Justin, both of San Bruno, have also been charged with a similar scam.

Seven people were killed when a Pacific Gas and Electric Co. pipeline blew up on September 9. The blast and fireball also destroyed almost 40 homes.
