V.C. officer arrested for child molestation

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. Thomas Triplett, 40, /*Camarillo*/, was arrested for child molestation and oral copulation with a person under the age of 18.

Triplett was a 15-year veteran of the /*sheriff's department*/.

Detectives believe the crimes happened over a period of several years.

The deputy's bail was set at $500,000.

Triplett was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigations.
