Bedbugs hit Howard Stern's studios, limo

NEW YORK The shock jock said on his Sirius XM Radio show that the building was treated over the weekend and was 100 percent bedbug free on Monday.

Stern also had to have his limousine fumigated after dogs sniffed out the bloodsuckers.

Pests have been discovered in clothing stores, theaters, housing projects, office buildings and posh apartments throughout New York.

A resurgence of bedbugs is being seen across the U.S. But the Big Apple has been called the epicenter for the outbreak by pest control officials.

City officials have a plan to fight the spreading infestation, including a public-awareness campaign and a top entomologist to head the effort.
