Mylanta added to Johnson & Johnson recalls

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa.

Twelve million bottles of over-the-counter Mylanta and nearly 85,000 bottles of AlternaGEL liquid antacid were pulled off of store shelves.

Company officials said small amounts of alcohol from flavoring agents was not noted on product packaging.

Just one week ago, Johnson & Johnson also recalled 9 million bottles of Tylenol because the packaging did not adequately inform customers about the presence of trace amounts of alcohol.
