Ross said she has lived in this home on Section 8 assistance for the last three years. She said everything was fine until she allowed a friend to park his two Hummers in her garage nearly two months ago.
Ross said a friend told her someone posted pictures of the Hummers in her garage on the Facebook page, "I hate Section 8 Houses!!!"
She said the comments were hateful.
"They basically (said) that I was defrauding the system to get Hummers," Ross said. "They are not my cars. I had people driving taking pictures of my home my kids were outside playing people calling them dirty names."
"It's just a shame that someone would write something like that," said Rachel Snyder, a neighbor.
Ross said no other Section 8 families in the neighborhood seem to be having problems.
She said she believes the pictures of the Hummers posted on the website caused someone to write hateful, racial slurs on her garage.
"I wish I never did it because I know how it looks," Ross said. "I was helping a friend. They're not my cars. I don't drive the cars. I don't have keys to the cars."
Ross said she has asked her friend to remove the Hummers from her garage as soon as possible.
