Authorities say 42-year-old Chris Wayne Duncan and 36-year-old Robin Ann Duncan hired a private investigator to locate foreclosed and vacant properties in Orange County. After finding the home on Hidden Pass, investigators say the pair drafted a fake lease so utility companies would put bills in their name as renters.
They are also accused of changing the locks after an appraiser tried to enter the property
Officials say the Duncans lived in the home for about three or four months.
They are both charged one felony count each of second degree burglary, conspiracy to comment second degree burglary, and unauthorized entry of dwelling. If convicted, they could face up to three years behind bars.
