LONG BEACH, Calif. --The driver and a 9-year-old passenger survived a car crash in Long Beach that splits their vehicle in half.
It happened on Spring Street just east of the I-605 in Long Beach Wednesday afternoon. One of the vehicles was cut in half with the front part remaining on the street, while the back half landed on an embankment below.The 27-year-old female driver and a 9-year-old boy in the car had minor to moderate injuries. The male driver of the other car had moderate to severe injuries. All three were taken to a hospital. Officials are investigating the cause of the accident.
