The incident occurred at about 10 p.m. Thursday. Officials said the victim was sitting in a parking lot when a man and a woman approached her.
When the male suspect demanded the woman's money and possessions, the victim complied. However, the man still shot her in the face with a handgun before fleeing on foot.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where she was expected to survive her injury.
