Great-grandmother breaks sprinting record

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y.

Ida Keeling is just four and a half feet tall and weighs in at 83 pounds. The great-grandmother ran a 60-meter dash in just over 29 seconds, the fastest sprint ever for a woman in her age group.

The race was part of Masters Sprint Night at The Armory in Harlem, NY. Keeling said being an athlete has turned her life around.

"I came out of this depression and unhappiness," Keeling said. "I said, 'I don't need this.'"

So how does she do it? Keeling said she stays in shape by running the stairs in her apartment building, weight lifting and bike riding.
