Just after 8 a.m., a very pregnant Melissa woke up to use the bathroom. During that time, she went into labor and gave birth to a baby boy.
Not exactly sure what to do to next, Melissa had a friend dial 911. Then, Melissa's boyfriend rushed in with a shoe string to tie off the umbilical cord.
Paramedics arrived a short time later to take the mom and the newborn to the hospital.
There was no official word on their condition.
This is Melissa's third child.
