Wheelchair-bound veteran robbed in Santa Ana

SANTA ANA, Calif.

Robert Dean Joyce and an unidentified suspect are accused of stealing $880 from a Vietnam veteran who had recently moved back to California from Colorado.

Police did not identify the victim.

The wheelchair-bound man was attacked on the 300 block East 1st St. Joyce pinned the victim's arms down while the other suspect rummaged through the man's belongings. They allegedly took an $880.

Tustin Police officers responding to the report later found Joyce at a Tustin motel, where he was arrested.

Police are seeking the second suspect, described as an African-American male, between 20 and 25 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds.
