New Jersey woman gets $155K for botched plastic surgery

PATERSON, N.J.

Outside of the courtroom in Paterson, Marilyn Leisz showed how she sleeps, with her eyes not fully closing. Leisz said she went to Dr. Paul Parker to correct bumps on her eyelids from a cosmetic procedure performed by another doctor.

Dr. Parker did not comment on camera. But in court, his attorney told the jury Leisz was warned of the risks and she did not complain after the 2005 surgery.

"He should have been honest with me," said Leisz. "And told me that I was not a candidate and should have suggested other options for me."

Leisz said she has to use gel at night and a vaporizer so she doesn't scratch her eyes. She said she's losing vision and fears injuring her eyes.

It's possible another operation may fix the problem, but Leisz said she's nervous about more surgery.
