Listeria was found along a production line at a Kellogg Co. plant in Augusta, Ga., that came in direct contact with food, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections. Symptoms include high fever, severe headache and nausea.

Regulators also detected other problems at the plant, including insects.

So far, there has been no comment from Kellogg. The company is still trying to recover from massive product recalls last year.
