Good Samaritan robbed at gunpoint

Toledo, OH Police say a 63 year old man who tried to help out a few kids had a gun pointed at the side of his head.

Toledo police have identified and issued a warrant for the teen suspect who they say pulled the gun on the man.

"I was trying to do a good thing by giving these kids a couple of dollars to get something to eat with"

63 year old James Streeter says he'll still give from the heart despite what happened to him on Wednesday.

Streeter says he stopped at this Dollar store at Dorr and Junction to pick something up for his mother.

He says he had a gun put in his ear after he tried to help two kids "these two boys walked over to the right side of the car and said I'd like to get some change for my little brother here he ain't had nothing to eat and my mom is in Stryker"

Streeter says he reached in his pocket to give the teens a few bucks. "Next thing I know I had a gun in my ear. Give it and the other dude snatched it and the other dude said give it all up snatched it and they ran I chased them a little bit"

He didn't catch the robbers.

Police were able ID the young teen who pulled the gun on Streeter. "I was just happy they didn't shoot. I just want to get them off the street, but these kids you don't know what they're going to do you don't"

Police charged the teen with aggravated robbery, but, he's not yet in custody.

Streeter says the crime won't stop him from doing random acts of kindness.
