Officers responded to a call regarding a man down in the 8100 block of Friends Avenue about 8 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a man that had come in contact with the downed line, which had set a small fire as his home.
The 24-year-old man, whose identity was not released, was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
The house fire was extinguished by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
It's not yet known how the power line fell or why the man came in contact with the line.
