The comic "Amazing Fantasy No. 15" marks the first appearance of Spider-Man and sold for 12 cents in 1962, reported the Lincoln Journal Star.
Nearly 50 years later, an unnamed buyer purchased a mint condition of the copy for more than $1 million.
The owner of the stolen comic book believed it was taken between Oct. 27 and Monday morning.
