Investigators are looking into a deadly officer-involved shooting near Jefferson Boulevard and Paloma Street in Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers stopped a man during a routine pedestrian stop for reasons that could range from the man being a person of interest in a crime or being wanted for questioning.

The man apparently pulled out a gun at some point during the incident, which happened at about 8 p.m. Friday.
