Investigators say Jerry Aldama, 26, was released early Friday morning.
He allegedly snuck a prison jumpsuit out with him after he was released from the West Valley Detention Center, and put the garb on before boarding an Omnitrans bus.
The bus driver noticed Aldama in the bright orange jumpsuit and called police.
Deputies intercepted the bus at Sierra and Orange ways in Fontana, where Aldama was re-arrested for possessing stolen property. He was booked back at the same detention center.
