Police said 34-year-old Francisco Gallegos of Cudahy tried to rob a U.S. Bank in La Habra on Saturday, when he fled the scene and led police on a short pursuit.
La Habra police arrested Gallegos a short time later, after he was involved in a traffic collision in Norwalk.
Gallegos earned his nickname because he was seen carrying bubble wrap during one of the earlier robberies.
He was arraigned Jan. 10 on two counts of robbery and one count of burglary. His bail was set at $1 million.
