Suspect killed by Anaheim police identified

ANAHEIM, Calif.

Police say Roscoe Cambridge, a 29-year-old Anaheim resident, had approached a police sergeant who was sitting in his car working on the computer.

According to authorities, Cambridge was wielding a large kitchen knife at the time. He was shot shortly after 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the Anaheim Police Department east substation at Santa Ana Canyon and Weir Canyon roads.

A Bible and knife were found near his body.

A motive has not yet been determined. The incident remains under investigation.

No officers were injured in the incident.
