They're apparently focusing on the border community of Boulevard.
Prosecutors say the victim, Christopher Smith, was killed by his business partner Edward Shin for financial gain.
Shin and an alleged accomplice were arrested in August.
Investigators say Smith was killed in his San Juan Capistrano office. They said Shin confessed to the murder, but would not reveal what happened to Smith's body.
