Tina Fey, Muppets to present at Academy Awards

LOS ANGELES

Fey started out as a regular on "Saturday Night Live" and currently stars in, produces and writes for the comedy series "30 Rock." She's no stranger to the big screen either, starring in "Date Night," "Big Mama" and "Mean Girls." She is also a best-selling author with her memoir "Bossypants" having sold over one million copies.

Kermit and Miss Piggy are coming off their critical and box office success with Disney's "The Muppets," which is Oscar nominated for Best Song, "Man or Muppet."

Fey, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy join a stellar list of previously announced Oscar presenters including Bradley Cooper, Chris Rock, Emma Stone, Halle Berry, Rose Byrne, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Milla Jovovich, Ellie Kemper, Jennifer Lopez, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig.

The 2012 Academy Awards ceremony takes place on Feb. 26 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles and will air live on ABC7.

The event will be hosted by actor Billy Crystal in what will mark his ninth such stint.
