Oxnard robbery suspect fires shots at officer

OXNARD, Calif.

The suspect, 41-year-old Jose Luis Ortiz of Oxnard, reportedly brandished a handgun and demanded money from a clerk at a business on the 2900 block of Vineyard Avenue at about 8:40 p.m. Saturday. He fled the area before police arrived.
