San Bernardino pizza parlor robbery suspect shot by police

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.

The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on 11th Street and Mountain View Avenue after the suspect allegedly robbed Pronto Pizza, located on the 100 block of West Baseline Street, at gunpoint.

Police found the suspect running away with a gun in his hand. He was later identified as Kristopher Sheridan, 26, of Los Angeles.

Officers ordered Sheridan to drop the gun, but he pointed it at an officer, who then shot Sheridan in the front yard of a home.

Sheridan was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The officers were not injured during the incident.

According to San Bernardino police, Sheridan is an early-release felon per Assembly Bill 109, California's Prison Realignment Plan.
